This 'home' website was started in the 1990's when  'free space' was offered as part of a package by our cable TV provider. No trackers, no cookies, no (intended!) sales/business promotions and no links to shifty websites ... although from time to time I discover that a good link has turned into a bad link and I remove it. 

The family history section was built when sources were sparse and I discovered subsequently that I have no ancestral links with 'Dorset Napiers'.

The 'Bristol Stories' section was built as a homage to my Grandmother who died in 1992 - she used to show me these letters from her dad when I was small and tell me that she thought they should be published.

The Bristol Mayors section was compiled at a time when there were no such records available online and I made my very first visit to the (then) Bristol Records Office..

The Wills family and the development of tobacco industry in Bristol were another particular interest.
